EXTENDED DRAIN INTERVALS
ROYAL SHIELD has an industry-leading Total Base Number (TBN) of 14. The majority of the new motor oils produced for CJ-4 usage have a TBN value of 8 to 10. ROYAL SHIELD is made with Royal’s proprietary TBN booster in order to build an oil with a TBN of 14. ROYAL SHIELD has been specially formulated to provide the ultimate in protection, reducing corrosive engine wear and extending the life of your engine. ROYAL SHIELD is not just an industry-leading high 14 TBN oil. It is a superior oil when it comes to TBN retention, thus making ROYAL SHIELD the oil to use for extended drain intervals.
INCREDIBLE STABILITY
Average fuel temperatures have risen about 100 degrees Fahrenheit in the last ten years. Fuel is often pressur-ized above 20,000 PSI (over 30,000 PSI in some systems) and braised by temperatures in excess of 6500 Fahrenheit. Prolonged exposure to that kind of heat can accelerate thermal breakdown of fuel, creating sediments and sludge, which can alter spray patterns and plug filters. DSL-MAX helps stabilize and maintain Diesel Fuel quality by pro-tecting against thermal degradation.
